Fundraiser Image In 2011, our families travelled to Africa and spent two weeks helping out in some of the poorest townships. We spent a lot of time hanging out with kids who were just like ours – they loved to play and have fun and had dreams of being educated and having jobs. Sadly for many of them, these dreams won’t come true because their families are unable to afford schooling.

When we came home we all wanted to continue to support our friends and others like them but it was hard for our children to find something they could do to help out. Then they had a brilliant idea – they would put on a big dinner and sell tickets to raise money for the famine relief fund.

With a little help from the grown-ups, about 20 young people got together and cooked for 130 adventurous diners and raised more than $7,000! They also had heaps of fun and realised that they could do something to make a difference - PROJEC10 was born!

Kids love Projec10 because they are given the opportunity to put their ideas, energy and enthusiasm into their own project, which helps other kids that are worse off than them.

Parents love Projec10 because we love to see our kids caring about others AND learning a heap about hard work, organisation and finances along the way.

At Projec10 we want to grow a generation of changemakers – who are compassionate, educated and empowered.

YOU can make a difference too and have a great time along the way. It doesn’t have to be a dinner for 90 people – everything, big or small, helps.

Start small - make it big - be the change!

About Opportunity International Australia

Opportunity International Australia enables you to invest in a mother living in poverty so that she can use a small loan to buy an item like a sewing machine and start a small business. For a family who can’t afford the basics, a gift of $70 can be life changing. With this hand up, a mother can put food on the table, send her children to school and transform her family’s future for generations. Mothers want what is best for their children, and as businesses become successful (98% of Opportunity’s loans are repaid), your help means they can make their dreams for their children come true.
