HAVE YOUR GIFT MATCHED $ FOR $ BY THE OPPORTUNITY BOARD

In our time at Opportunity, we’ve seen mothers in countries like India or the Philippines make the most impossible choices. Mothers who, with broken hearts, have had to send their older children to bed hungry, as it was the little ones’ turn to eat today. Others who have had to tell their children – some just six or seven years old – that there would be no school tomorrow – it was time for them to start working instead. And other mothers who have gone without the medicine they desperately needed themselves in order to pay for clean water for their children to drink. Such decisions do not come easily to these families. But when life is a battle to survive, there really isn’t any choice.

About this project

As members of the Opportunity Board, we're committed to doing what we can to help stop these impossible choices having to be made. So we're putting our money where our mouths are...

FROM NOW UNTIL 30 JUNE, WE'LL MATCH EVERY DONATION MADE ON THIS FUNDRAISING PAGE, UP TO $100,000. Funds raised will go towards helping families get the tools they need to leave poverty behind.

If you've heard about Opportunity's work before - if you haven't - or even if you're a long-time supporter, there's never been a better time to give.

Your Support Will Help

“I remember hearing one of Opportunity’s program managers tell the story of being begged by a young mother to please, please, take her baby. It wasn’t because this mother didn’t want her child – quite the opposite. It was because she knew that her breast milk had dried up and, living in incredible poverty, she had no other way of feeding her child. Desperate, this broken woman saw it as the only choice to help her baby survive. Please, donate today so that no more mothers have to make these impossible choices.” Robert Dunn, Chief Executive Officer

Funding will be directed to the area of greatest need within the proposed program. Sometimes programs may change in scope and in this case, Opportunity may redirect funding to a suitable alternative program.
